30-day money-back guarantee
for web hosting
If hosting does not suit you within the first 30 days, we refund the amount you paid for it in full. The guarantee comes on top of the legal right of withdrawal. It does not replace it.
Two different rights
The money-back guarantee is an offer from HostON. The right of withdrawal is given to consumers by law. You can use either one, under the conditions of each.
The statutory right of withdrawal (14 days)
Individuals can withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days of concluding it, without justifying the decision (OUG 34/2014, the Romanian consumer protection ordinance). If you asked for the service to start before the deadline, you only pay the part proportionate to the period used.
The HostON guarantee (30 days)
We offer it in addition, for individuals and companies, on the first invoice for a web hosting plan. We refund the amount you paid for hosting in full and we do not ask for a reason.
What the guarantee includes
- Web hosting, WordPress, eCommerce, Web Performance and reseller plans
- The first invoice for the plan concerned, whichever billing cycle you chose (1–12 months)
- Full refund of the amount paid for hosting
- A request without justification, within the first 30 days from activation
What the guarantee does not include
- Registered or transferred domains (the fee paid to the registry cannot be recovered)
- Paid SSL certificates, once issued
- VPS servers
- Renewals and invoices after the first invoice
- Accounts closed for breach of the acceptable use policy
How to request a refund
- 01Open a ticket from the client area or write to info@hoston.ro with the subject “30-day guarantee”.
- 02State the service or the invoice number. The reason is optional, but it helps us improve.
- 03We confirm the request and close the service on the date you give us.
- 04We return the amount within 5 working days at most, by the same payment method (or by bank transfer, if the original method does not allow it).
The 30-day period
The period is counted from the date the service was activated. Requests received after 30 days are no longer covered by the guarantee. The legal right of withdrawal has its own period, 14 days from the conclusion of the contract.
Frequently asked questions
The right of withdrawal (14 days) belongs to individuals by law, and you use it through the “Withdraw from the contract here” function. The money-back guarantee (30 days) is HostON's offer for the first web hosting invoice and also applies to companies.
Reseller yes, VPS no. The 30-day guarantee covers web hosting, WordPress, eCommerce, Web Performance and reseller plans. For VPS, individuals still have the legal 14-day right of withdrawal.
No. The domain registration fee is paid to the registry and cannot be recovered. The domain remains yours and you can use or transfer it.
5 working days at most from confirmation of the request. How long it takes to show in your account also depends on your bank.
The guarantee applies to the first invoice for a hosting plan. Renewals and repeat orders for the same type of service are not included.
The hosting account is closed. Before closing, you can download a copy of your files and databases from cPanel. If you want, we will help you by ticket.
