Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets the rules for acceptable use of HostON.ro services.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on HostON.ro servers:

• Sending spam or unsolicited bulk emails
• Hosting illegal content, including child exploitation material
• DDoS attacks, flooding or attacks on other systems
• Cryptocurrency mining without explicit authorization
• Phishing, online fraud or impersonating other entities
• Distributing malware, viruses or malicious software
• Excessive resource usage that affects other users
• Content that violates copyright without permission
• Activities that violate Romanian or European legislation

Usage must respect fair use principles:

• CPU: average usage below 25% of allocated limit
• RAM: usage within plan limits
• Databases: reasonable simultaneous connections, optimized queries
• Inodes: reasonable count relative to plan limit
• Email: commercial bulk sending requires prior confirmation

Chronic overages will be flagged and may result in a plan upgrade.

Presentation websites, online stores, blogs, web apps, legitimate SaaS services and all legal content.

HostON performs automatic daily backups via JetBackup.

We recommend maintaining your own backups outside HostON servers.

Violations of this policy may result in:

• Warning and immediate request to rectify the issue
• Temporary service suspension without prior notice in serious cases
• Contract termination without refund of paid amounts
• Notification of relevant authorities for illegal activities

Decisions are made proportionally to the severity of the violation.

If you detect abuse on our servers, contact us at abuse@hoston.ro. All reports are investigated within 24 hours.
