Domain Terms

Specific conditions for domain registration services

Ultima actualizare: 06.06.2026

01. Registrar Partner

HostON provides domain registration services in partnership with Tes Euro Media Concept SRL (TES Domains, tesdomains.com), accredited by ROTLD for .RO domains and EURid for .EU domains, and an authorised reseller for international extensions (.com, .net, .org, etc.).

By purchasing a domain through HostON, the Client also accepts the regulations of the relevant TLD registries, available in the "Registry Regulations" section below.

02. Domain Registration

Domain registration is subject to availability at the time of order processing and compliance with the rules of the specific top-level domain (TLD) registry. HostON does not guarantee the registration of a domain that is available at the time of checking but unavailable at the time of payment processing (e.g. registered by a third party in the interim).

The Client is responsible for:

  • Choosing a domain name that does not infringe registered trademark rights or the rights of other third parties
  • Providing accurate and up-to-date contact details in WHOIS — false data may lead to domain suspension by the registry
  • Updating contact data within 72 hours of any change

The Client will indemnify HostON for any damages, costs or disputes resulting from the choice of a domain name that infringes third-party rights.

03. Pricing, Renewal and Grace Periods

Prices for registration, transfer and renewal are displayed on the /domains page and may vary per TLD.

Domains do not include the money-back guarantee — the registration cost is non-refundable after completion of registration at the registry.

HostON notifies the Client 60, 30 and 7 days before domain expiration. Non-renewal leads to expiration and the domain entering a grace period, after which it becomes publicly available. Indicative grace periods per TLD:

TLDGrace period (renewal)Redemption periodPermanent deletion
.RO30 daysNone (deleted after grace period)At expiry of grace period
.EU40 daysNoneAt expiry of grace period
.COM / .NET30 days30 days (additional cost)5-day pending delete
.ORG30 days30 days (additional cost)5-day pending delete
.DE~1 day (immediate suspension)~30 daysVariable

* Periods are indicative and may vary. Check the specific TLD regulations before letting a domain expire.

04. Premium Domains

Some domains are classified as "Premium" by the TLD registry and have significantly higher prices than standard rates. Before processing payment for a premium domain, HostON will notify the Client of the actual price and request order confirmation. No payment for a premium domain is processed without the Client's explicit confirmation. At renewal, premium domains may be subject to premium renewal rates set by the registry, different from the registration price.

05. Domain Transfer

Transferring a domain from another registrar to HostON takes 5–7 business days for most TLDs.

Transfer requirements:

  • Domain registered for at least 60 days (exception: .RO and .EU may be transferred earlier)
  • Domain not expired and not in grace/redemption period
  • Transfer Lock (Registrar Lock) disabled at the current registrar
  • Valid AUTH/EPP (authorization code) obtained from the current registrar

Transfer includes a 1-year renewal at standard price (exception: .DE does not include mandatory renewal upon transfer).

06. .RO Domains — Specific Rules

.RO domains are managed by ROTLD (ICI Telecom) and can be registered by individuals or legal entities without residency restrictions.

  • Each individual may register an unlimited number of .RO domains
  • .RO domain transfers follow the ROTLD procedure and may take 3–10 business days
  • Expired .RO domains enter a 30-day grace period directly (no redemption), after which they become publicly available
  • ROTLD may suspend or delete a .RO domain for non-compliance with registration rules, without prior notice

07. .EU Domains — Specific Rules

.EU domains are managed by EURid and are reserved for individuals or legal entities with residence/registered office in the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway.

  • The Client warrants that they meet the eligibility criteria at the time of registration and throughout the period of domain ownership
  • Loss of eligibility (e.g. citizenship outside the EU) may lead to domain suspension/deletion by EURid
  • HostON is not responsible for suspensions caused by failure to meet eligibility criteria

08. WHOIS Protection (Privacy Guard)

For extensions that support WHOIS Privacy (e.g. .com, .net, .org, many new gTLDs), HostON offers or may offer WHOIS data protection services.

Enabling WHOIS protection replaces personal data in WHOIS with the registrar's proxy data, protecting the Client's data from automated scrapers and spammers.

Note: .RO and .EU domains do not support WHOIS Privacy — contact details are displayed publicly, but ROTLD and EURid apply restrictions on commercial use of WHOIS data.

WHOIS protection does not exempt the Client from the obligation to provide accurate data to the registry — these are stored at the registry and may be provided to authorities upon legal request.

09. Domain Suspension and Deletion

HostON may suspend or transfer a domain at the request of competent authorities, a dispute resolution body (UDRP/URS), or upon identification of use for illegal activities (spam, phishing, malware). The Client will be notified if legally possible. HostON is not liable for losses caused by suspensions ordered by the registry or public authorities.

10. UDRP and ADR Disputes

Disputes related to trademark rights over domains are resolved under the UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) procedure through WIPO or other ICANN-accredited bodies. For .EU domains, the applicable procedure is ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) administered by EURid. The Client bears procedure costs if they lose the dispute. HostON will cooperate with resolution bodies and implement final decisions.

11. TLD Registry Regulations

By registering a domain, the Client accepts the regulations of the corresponding TLD registry. Relevant documents:

Registry regulations take precedence over this document in case of contradictions regarding TLD-specific rules.
